The best vegan burger restaurants in London
The humble vegan burger is an absolute staple in London, and there are hundreds of epic meat-free options to choose from. Here are just a few of our favourite vegan burger restaurants in London:
1. The Vurger Co
With restaurants in Shoreditch and Canary Wharf, The Vurger Co is the perfect lunch stop or post-work dinner location.
There are five burgers to choose from with a mix of ‘chicken’, ‘beef’ and vegetable-based patties so there is something for everyone. Additionally, the chain usually has a special burger each month with previous themes including Teriyaki, Peri Peri and Indian.
Fancy something on the side? The Vurger Co offer three varieties of chips, house-made mac n cheese infused with truffle oil and vegan parmesan, and either chicken or crispy mushroom dippers.
And who could refuse one of their famous shakes? The Vurger Co has seven shake flavours from the classic strawberry to Oreo to salted caramel popcorn.

2. Halo Burger
Located in Brixton and Shoreditch, Halo Burger has made a name for itself using Beyond Burger patties to create a vast range of irresistible vegan burgers.
On the menu, you can find the epic Halo Burger with 2 Beyond patties, 2 slices of cheese, caramelised onion, lettuce, tomato, gherkins and signature sauce. Other notable mentions include the Smoky Carolina BBQ Burger, and The Flameburger which is definitely not for the faint-hearted!
Treat yourself to Pink Salt Fries, This Isn’t Chicken Nuggets or Crispy Jalapenos on the side, and a Peanut Butter milkshake to wash it all down.

3. Neat Burger
Any burger joint backed by racing champion Lewis Hamilton has got to be good right?
Neat Burger has four locations across London (with plans to add seven more this year) and serves up classic vegan fast-food that we know and love.
The chain is arguably a ‘vegan McDonalds’, serving up a vegan version of a Big Mac – aptly named The Big Stack – and a Filet-no-Fish burger that rival the fast-food giant’s classics.
Aside from a range of vegan burgers, you can also order the popular Neat Dog, and Neat Nuggets with your choice of dip.
Oh and don’t forget to try one of their epic shakes! Choose from Strawberry, Chocolate, Oreo, Biscoff or Brownie flavour – what’s not to love?

4. Unity Diner
Earthling Ed’s non-profit restaurant Unity Diner deserves a spot on this list for the three epic burgers that don’t just taste great but help animals too.
You can choose from the classic Moving Mountains Burger featuring ‘beef’ patties, cheese, bacon, and all the trimmings. There’s also the VFC Burger – a vegan take on the Southern-fried chicken patty with cheese, bacon, and a hash brown.
For something different, try the Tofish Stack. Featuring a tofish fillet with baby gem, pickled cabbage and chunky tartare sauce, it’s served in a striking activated charcoal sesame bun. What’s more, it comes complete with calamari rings and vegan tempura prawns!
Unity Diner also has an extensive vegan menu with plenty more non-burger treats to try. If you love great food and supporting vegan activism, Unity Diner is definitely worth a visit.

5. Rudy’s Vegan Diner
If you’re looking for over-the-top vegan junk food that will convince even the most ardent of meat-eaters, then look no further than Rudy’s Vegan Diner.
The Camden Market-based diner offers all the staple US diner classics from The Dirty Burger to The Dirty Dog. Rudy’s even offer a Reuben sandwich with all the trimmings, including sauerkraut and Russian dressing.
Moreover, there’s also a weekly changing menu of American comfort food specials. Delicious dishes you can expect to see include Vegan Meatloaf, Philly Cheese Steak, and Spicy Vegan Buffalo Wings with Blue Cheeze.
